Chromatic manipulation of a koto, recorded in the field at Park Guell in Barcelona, used to achieve effect of temporal disjunction in “Debile,” a short film by Vin Prieto.
Sí San José is a compilation I produced in the field during a month in San José, Costa Rica in September 2011. Sound throughout the album was achieved through the extensive ambient micing of an antique, cavernous mansion. An exercise in minimalist recording technique, and the development of my strategies for recording live sound.
